Dual Language Programs
The purpose
of this section if to provide a quick reference for the dual language
programs offered in the Saint Paul Public Schools. Our dual language programs may fall under the heading of bilingual programs in other districts. We have chosen dual language programs to describe the various programs as they do not use the same instructional model as a basis for the programming.
These programs are
all detailed in the dual language section of ELL instructional programs section. Additionally, these programs are also covered in the newcomer programs, programs in Hmong, programs in Somali, and programs in Spanish sections are the apply to those sections also.

The SPPS dual language programs (and the grade level/language) are: - Adams Spanish Immerison (K-6/Spanish) note that there are articulated middle and senior school immersion programs at Highland Junior and Senior High Schools
- Cherokee Heights (K-1/Spanish)
- Homecroft (K-6/Spanish)
- Jackson Bilingual Program (K-2/Hmong)
- L'Étoile du Nord French Immersion (K-6/French). note that there is a articulated middle school immersion program at Highland Junior High School
- Riverview (K-3/Spanish)
- Roosevelt
(K-1/Spanish)
- Vento (K-2/Spanish)
- Wellstone (K-2/Spanish)
Notes:
The Adams and L'Étoile du Nord immersion programs are stand alone schools with ELL programs.
The other programs listed are supplemental ELL programs within the regular schools.
SPPS also offers intensive programs in Chinese. These programs are not ELL programs, but rather regular district programs.
